This project involved the installation and design of a large, east-facing, concrete turtle, as a tribute to Indigenous culture in Canada. The turtle featured a sandblasted shell pattern, green coloured concrete, mulch landscaping and exactly 14 Armourstone seats that were strategically placed around the installation. This arrangement provides a place for rest and reflection while also serving as an outdoor classroom, creating an inviting space for learning and community gatherings that celebrate Canada’s rich Indigenous heritage.
