The work under this contract consists of the construction of a new 50,000 m² community park. It includes a 208 m² washroom pavilion; a 500 m² full-feature water splash pad; a 1,286 m² both junior and senior playgrounds with a rubberized surface; a 120 m² sheltered pavilion; a 15,700 m² official cricket field with 15.8 m perimetral safety net and a 3 lanes cricket wicket, fully enclosed, chain link batting cage. The project involves various tasks such as grading, site servicing, building, installation of shade structures and fencing, irrigation, concrete, asphalt, electrical work, planting, sodding, seeding, and placement of site furnishings. The washroom building houses all the park’s electrical and mechanical services including fully accessible M & F washrooms, as well as a Family (universal) washroom, including an emergency call system. The masonry/steel/wood building also provides a fully covered canopy overhang for picnic and lounge space protected from rain and sun. The park is equipped with a total of 263 parking spaces available for community members to use when visiting the various amenities of the park.
