As part of YRDSB’s efforts to continually upgrade facilities and encourage high performance athletes to choose Canadian schooling options, Rutherford was contracted to provide the replacement of two artificial turf fields and an eight lane track at Bill Crothers S.S.

This work included the supply and installation of all components necessary for a first class facility, including; concrete paving, sodding, planting, site furnishings, water services, storm systems, catch basins and area drains, SWM systems, electrical service and distribution, and of course a brand new synthetic track, and artificial turf soccer and football fields.

The existing turf fields and track were removed and the new facilities are replaced in kind with an updated design, including providing for additional site drainage and newer facilities.

The new track and field facilities, upon completion, were tested for compliance with the rigorous athletic standards required, including FIFA certification for the soccer and football fields.
