Who Are We?
At Rutherford Contracting, we take pride in our rich history, spanning over five decades. Founded by Dick Rutherford in 1971, our company started as a small family business. However, through unwavering commitment to our core values, we have grown to become the contractor of choice to many public and private clients. Over the years, we've worked on countless projects in communities all over Ontario.

ICI Buildings - Projects related to public and private institutions, such as schools, hospitals, government buildings, religious buildings, and community centers. Whether your project is a new build, an addition or renovation- we have the expertise to get the job done.
Civil Engineering/Hardscape – Rutherford completes many projects incorporating heavy civil, infrastructure, environmental, hardscape and utility components.
Facilities Management – We offer a comprehensive management of physical assets and infrastructure throughout its entire lifecycle for public and private clients. This includes planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, decommissioning or renovation of client facilities.
Construction Management – Our experienced Project Managers can assist you in planning, coordinating, and overseeing various elements of a construction project from inception to completion.
