Rutherford Contracting is very proud to announce that it’s safety program has been awarded the Certificate of Recognition from the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association. It is one of the first 200 contractors in Ontario to have been awarded the CoR certificate.
The Certificate of Recognition program is an extensive safety program audit performed by external auditors. It is often required for contracts with both public- and private-sector construction projects within Ontario. It involves a comprehensive and detailed review of the health and safety management system. The audit will typically cover the basic elements of a health and safety management system and will include interviews, documentation review and observation techniques.
“Getting the CoR certificate was an important thing for us- we’ve had an industry leading safety program, and we wanted to show clients, our employees and the larger community in Ontario that we take health and safety seriously”, said Alexander Chalmers, Vice President at Rutherford Contracting.
