Increased Ridership across the Greater Golden Horseshoe Area meant that Metrolinx required improvements to their existing customer payment infrastructure to accommodate the higher volumes. ‘Add Value Machines’ also known as AVM Machines were to be installed at all Go Stations across the province. Construction activities performed included trenching, excavation, coring, concrete/asphalt pads and footings, electrical work and conduit installations, fiber optic installation, restoration, and extensive testing and inspections. Additional scope of work included upgrading existing PRESTO infrastructure at every station to streamline the monitoring capabilities of machine activity, upgrading existing PRESTO wiring and fail susceptible devices.
